Hi, I'm Nastja

Fiber artist, pattern designer, professional yarn hoarder.

It started, as these things do, with one skein of yarn bought "just to try something." That was many years and several overflowing shelves ago. What began as a way to keep my hands busy on winter evenings slowly turned into a tiny studio practice: designing crochet patterns that are genuinely fun to make.

What I believe about patterns

A good pattern should feel like a friend sitting next to you on the sofa, pointing at your work and saying "now through that loop — yes, that one." That's why every pattern I release is:

• Photographed step by step — especially the fiddly bits everyone else skips.
• Tested by real makers of different skill levels before release.
• Written for humans — clear counts, no mystery abbreviations, and a little encouragement exactly where you'll need it.

The studio

My "studio" is the sunniest corner of my flat: one comfortable armchair, one wall of yarn arranged by color (mostly), a cork board of swatches and sketches, and a teapot that never quite gets cold. Most patterns are born there, usually with something purring nearby.

When a design fights back — and they do fight back — it goes on the blog as a work-in-progress. If you like seeing the seventh attempt at a dragon wing next to the version that finally worked, that's the place.
